Artist Statement/Biography

Virginia Stonebarger’s extensive art education includes a BS from Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio and a MS in painting from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.   She has also studied at such noted institutions as the Colorado Springs Fine Art Center, New York University, and Hans Hofmann School in New York City.

Virginia has had numerous solo shows throughout the United States and has been an award-winner in such prestigious shows as the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild.  Her last exhibit was a three-person show November 1999 to January 2000 at the Tucson International Airport Gallery.  She is currently showing at Mountain Shadow Gallery in Tucson, Arizona and Cobalt Fines Gallery in Tubac, as well as galleries in Wisconsin, Colorado, and Maryland.
